The Solomon Islands Ministry of Tourism and Culture works in close partnership with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), part of the World Bank Group, and the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) to support responsible, sustainable tourism development in the Solomon Islands.
This project centred on the development and communication of “Sustainability Matters: Driving Growth and Resilience in Solomon Islands’ Guadalcanal and Central Provinces’ Tourism Sector” — a rigorous, landscape-level framework designed to guide future tourism investment decisions.
Red k led the visual communication of this complex assessment, translating detailed environmental, social, and natural hazard risk analysis into a clear, accessible report and executive summary for government, investors, and stakeholders. The framework evaluates potential tourism development through the lens of environmental and social (E&S) risk, climate vulnerability, and long-term resilience, identifying pathways for balanced, equitable, and sustainable growth.
Through structured report design, infographics, and data-led visual storytelling, red k ensured critical insights and recommendations were clearly communicated. The final outputs equip both investors and Solomon Islands Government ministries with the information needed to reduce risk, manage impacts, and make informed decisions that support sustainable tourism development across the regions.
This project reinforces red k’s capability in communicating complex policy and risk frameworks, supporting evidence-based decision-making in development contexts where sustainability, community outcomes, and long-term resilience are paramount.
