Who are they?

The Darwin Innovation Hub, a business under the Paspalis Corporation, serves as the meeting point for commercialising business in Northern Australia. Operating in close collaboration with Paspalis, the DIH acts as a central space for fostering innovation and entrepreneurial endeavours, contributing significantly to the region’s economic growth and development. Together, Paspalis and the DIH work synergistically to drive business innovation and economic progress in Northern Australia.

What we did

Consulting to Paspalis as their Chief Communications Officer, Karmen Karamanian, Creative Director at red k, embarked on a dynamic journey of conceiving and cultivating a brand for a new incubator in the Northern Territory. From the initial spark of ideas to the meticulous development of a comprehensive corporate identity system, every facet was thoughtfully crafted to resonate with the incubator’s mission and values. Beyond its inception, Karmen Karamanian has continued to provide ongoing brand management, ensuring its evolution aligns with the dynamic landscape of innovation. Collaborating closely with Paspalis, she has provided invaluable insights on business development, to create a robust pipeline of companies primed for commercialisation.

In tandem with this, Karmen has lent her expertise to consult with Paspalis on maintaining brand reputation and proactively managing potential risks, fostering an environment of trust and reliability. Today, this brand proudly holds its place as the Northern Territory’s foremost incubator, a testament to the strategic leadership and vision of the CEO, complemented by the creative acumen and proactive business development efforts of Karmen, in close collaboration with the Paspalis team. It has not only nurtured a thriving innovation ecosystem but has also firmly established itself as the cornerstone for commercialisation in the Territory. This remarkable success story serves as a testament to the transformative potential of strategic branding and design in catalysing innovation and driving economic growth in the region.
